A walker has bagged seven Munros in one day while barefoot.

Ethan Dyer, 21, scrambled over 21 miles of rock, grass and snow around Crianlarich, Perthshire in 17 hours. Dyer, who lives in Glasgow, now plans to conquer the notorious Cuillin Ridge on the Isle of Skye next month.

“I went up Loch Lomond last July in my bare feet to make it harder and I got really hooked into it,” he said.

Leave beached dolphins to the experts, rescuers insist

A marine life rescue charity has pleaded with the public not to refloat beached animals after members of the public accidentally drowned a two-month-old dolphin.

The British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) last week urged anyone who comes across stranded animals on the beach to wait for experts to arrive.

Teen who snapped shin in freak sledging accident learns to walk again

A teenager told he'd never walk again after snapping his shin in a freak sledging accident has taken his first steps.

Ben Thompson, 19, begged doctors to 'chop his leg off' after hitting a metal sign while sliding down a snowy hill in Burton-Upon-Trent, Staffordshire, in November.

The horror accident saw his shin bone snap and puncture the muscle and artery in his calf, completely destroying the nerve system in his leg.

Teen reveals suspected period pain in back turned out to be scoliosis

A TOP drag racer has revealed that suspected period pain in her lower back turned out to be debilitating scoliosis.

Kaitlan Deevey, one of Europe’s best teenage drag racers, said that doctors believed the pain she was experiencing in her back was due to her periods.

Four years later in February 2020, after continuing to be in pain, X-ray images revealed a 47 degree curve in Kaitlan’s spine caused by scoliosis.

A Ukrainian musician has been filmed defiantly playing her grand piano after brushing away dust and ash in her bombed-out home near Kyiv.

Professional pianist Irina Maniukina, a mum of two, decided to play some music to show her feelings just hours after a bomb landed 10 metres from her home in Bila Tserkva, south of the Ukrainian capital.

Tropical turtle drifts thousands of miles before washing up on Scots beach

A TROPICAL turtle drifted thousands of miles before washing up on a Scots beach.

Scots islander Jane Kindlen stumbled across the loggerhead turtle washed ashore on Iona, Inner Hebrides, on Thursday.

The young turtle is believed to have travelled 4,000 miles off course from as far as Florida, US, after being caught in the Gulf Stream.

The turtle was rushed to Loch Lomond Sea Life Centre where it’s being treated for hypothermia, malnutrition and dehydration due to the cold water.

Female clubber, 22, says bouncer punched her in the eye

A female clubber has claimed that a '6ft heavyset bouncer' punched her in the eye so hard it burst a blood vessel.

Abbey Jackson, 22, said Manchester bouncers allowed two clubbers in without showing their vaccine passports.

Her friend then confronted security while they were out at 42nd Street nightclub on Wednesday night for a birthday party.
